Horse Riding on the North Dorset Trailway

The Trailway is a multi-use route and a Bridleway so it is open to horse riders, cyclists, pedestrians, and mobility users. It features a flat, surfaced, 3-metre-wide track ideal for horses.

Parking & Access:
Limited parking for horse boxes/trailers currently. Recommended parking includes:

Fiddleford Mill Car Park (arrive early)
Spetisbury School Car Park (avoid school hours)
Local country laybys near villages that link to the Trailway.

Please make sure you wear high-visibility clothing, keep horses calm and well managed. If you are riding the Trailway route, if it is busy then it is advisable to ride in single file, especially when passing other users. Where possible please clear horse droppings.
